Judo-Visually Impaired Overview

Visually Impaired Judo only became a paralympic sport in the Seoul Games of 1998. Women competed for the first time in Athens, 2004. The sport is only open to athletes with a visual impairment but there are no other disability classifications. Athletes are divided into weight categories in the same way as the sighted sport.
