Ice Sledge Hockey Overview
Sledge Hockey is open to athletes with a locomotor disability. The dimensions of the rink and goals are exactly as they are for the Olympic equivalent, as are the rules. Athletes are strapped to a specially designed frame which has two ice-skate blades and a ride height such that the puck can pass underneath. The player's sticks have a blade on one end for playing the pluck and a spike on the other to allow them to propel themselves around the rink.
