Disability Table Tennis Overview

Disability Table Tennis is the 4th largest Paralympic sport (due to its accessibility) and was played at the first Games in Rome, 1960. Men and women both play individual and team events. There are also two competitions, namely standing and sitting (wheelchair). The sitting game requires agility and speed and tends to adopt a more defensive nature than the standing game.

Wheelchair athletes compete in Classes 1-5; Classes 6-10 comprise of ambulant athletes.
