Boxing Overview
Boxing has a rich history and was part of the ancient Greek Games. Today's version of the sport began in Britain in 1681. The current rules were developed by the Marquis of Queensbury in 1865 and he introduced the use of gloves and 3 minute rounds.
Boxing first appeared as an Olympic Sport in London in 1908.
